Orientation and Registration

Orientation to the Summer Institute will begin at 9:00 a.m. on June 1 in the meeting rooms located on the 6th floor of the Institute for Social Research. Orientation includes a presentation on the organization and content of the Summer Institute courses intended to assist participants in a better understanding of course contents. The program director and staff will be present to answer questions participants may have about individual courses. Materials will be distributed on classroom locations, special events, and useful information about the program, the University and Ann Arbor. Immediately follow orientation on June 1, the Summer Institute staff will be available to assist with any course selection changes and collect any outstanding registration fees.

Please note that morning classes will not be held June 1, but afternoon classes will be held that day. Morning classes begin on Tuesday, June 2.

Reception and Picnics

All Summer Institute participants are invited to a reception from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5, at the Institute for Social Research Room 6050. This gathering is intended to provide an opportunity for faculty and participants to meet in an informal atmosphere. Refreshments will be served. Summer Institute participants also are invited to attend several other social gatherings, some co-sponsored with the ICPSR program. Dates will be announced.
