Valerie E. Lee
Professor of Education and Faculty Associate, ISR
Lee received an Ed.D. from Harvard University. Her research, using both qualitative and quantitative methods, focuses on social equity in educational settings. She investigates the social distribution of achievement within schools, as well as how characteristics of the social and academic organizations of schools influence students' academic and social development. Currently, her research interests involve the social context of early childhood education, school size, school-based social capital, and high schools divided into schools-within-schools.
